Les conditions d'accès :
Vous êtes un marcheur (5km de rando c'est pour vous tout à fait gérable.
Vous pouvez passer 5 heures dans le clair obscure d'une grotte.
Vous n'avez pas le vertige (Il y a notamment une passerelle de 10 mètres à flanc de roche, très facile à franchir... sauf si on a le vertige ! .
Vous avez plus de 10 ans (pour les plus petits, 1 journée dans l'obscurité et l'humidité d'une grotte... ça peut faire long !)

When you come to Lombrives, it's to get off the beaten track regardless of the hike you choose... This one allows you to explore the galleries beyond the lake. Only a few privileged get to discover Lombrives beyond this area, which is rarely open to the public.
Accompanied and equipped by a guide, discover the depths of the "lair of giants"! A parenthesis out of time, a full connection with nature.
Equipped with a helmet and a headlamp, follow in the footsteps of the greatest explorers of our time and retrace their history. Discover the living and sleeping areas of the Deep Time scientific expedition: we take the time to settle there for a tasting of our local products during a short break. Discover all the geological and historical treasures contained in the bowels of the cave. The part called "Galerie du Lion" is newly accessible to the public: it is an absolutely splendid marble gallery.
This 4-5 hour guided hike is accessible if you are a good walker and have a good physical condition. There is a passage of 10 meters on a suspended walkway, very easy to cross... unless you are dizzy! Hiking shoes and warm clothing are essential (10°C in the cave!).
Group reduced to 16 people (5 minimum)
Children over 10 years old (for the little ones, 1/2 day in the effort, in a dark and wet environment... it can be long!)

Overview of the visit:
You go around the lake, walk on the sand, and join the "Galerie du Lion" that leads to the junction with the cave of Niaux. You make your way through the boulders and there you are, facing the abyss... Then the "Galerie de la Vierge", a pure wonder of nature...

This hike has no particular difficulty, no narrow or water passages, but it does require to be a good walker with a good physical condition. Your guide will equip you with a helmet and a headlamp. Wear warm, comfortable clothes, hiking shoes. Please bring a backpack and water.
